The Products

HIL GRAPHICS is a system that combines recent innovations with a substance that has long been used in manufacturing – water.

The Process

A pattern or design is first printed on water soluble film and then floated on water. The object to be decorated is impressed on the film to effect the transfer of the pattern. Subsequently the film is washed off leaving the pattern intact, then a top coat is added to seal the design. The action of the water enables the pattern to be transferred evenly and neatly over an object of virtually any shape. The unique process is what makes HILGAPHICS so adaptable.

	FILM PRINTING The pattern or design is gravure-printed on a water soluble film.
	ACTIVATION The film is specially treated and the ink activated.
	TRANSFER The film is floated on water and the object to be imprinted pressed against it to effect the transfer.
	FILM REMOVAL AND WASHING Having fulfilled its role as the medium for the print transfer, the film is washed off.
	DRYING Water which adhered to the object during printing is dried off. TOP COATING A transparent top coat is applied to protect the printed surface.
